OK... so I found these interesting Australian made K-MAC Caster and Camber Strut perches from Top End Performance in North Hollywood. Some guys who I purchased my upper strut tie bar and my batter relocation kit with tie bar. They’re not as trick as some of the billet race ones but they seemed interesting for a car that is driven on the road and occasionally taken to the track. Supposedly you can set it up for the track in 30 seconds a side just by loosening the three bolts, setting it and tightening them back up. We’ll see about that.
Anyway, the installation was a pain in the ass! First, the pressed in bolts were barely long enough to use just mounted up normally. I have a upper strut tie bar going across the engine bay and with that 1/4” of metal there the bolts wouldn’t clear. So the crappy pressed bolt were extracted and new ones welded in their place. They’re not as beefy as the original hardened versions. But the 8.8 in place now should be fine.
They have parts for my Cortina including swaybars... so if I like them I may get some for the ‘Tuna.
Now the problem is... I’m still using my stock struts and hope to get my upgraded TII struts in there. I’ve got a coil-over kit I haven’t figured out just yet that I want to bolt up in there.
